The Ebony Peg with Eye was used by many oud manufacturers obtained by drying the ebony tree. Because it is a more durable tree structurally, Ebony oud pegs are preferred more. Because the ebony tree is hard, it prevents the chord from detuning and allows you to play more comfortably.
There is a mother-of-pearl embroidered spot on the Ebony Oud peg with Eye.
