The Clone Looper boasts sample rates up to 88.2kHz — nearly double that of many other digital looper pedals — so you won’t encounter aliasing when recording an overdriven electric or a percussive acoustic. You get up to six minutes of record time to share between unlimited overdubs. So whether you’re creating a 6-minute play-along track or 30 seconds of cascading melodies and harmonies, the MXR Clone Looper has you covered. Your loops stay in the pedal between uses, even when you power it down, so it’s easy to take ideas from home to the practice space for fleshing out. Advanced features, including 1/2–2x time stretching, expression pedal and tap switch inputs, and Play Once mode for backing tracks give the MXR Clone Looper plenty of room for you to grow. Six minutes, unlimited layers
MXR’s Clone Looper gives you six minutes of record time at an unprecedented 88.2kHz sample rate to capture the smallest details in your performance. Those six minutes can be split between a 6-minute single layer or 100 layers at 6 seconds each.

The Clone Looper’s analog through-path is set in a handsome brushed metal housing with rugged switches and jacks. Toggleable true bypass and buffered bypass switching will make this looper fit into any pedal setup.
Hands-free time stretching
Looking to get the most out of your Clone Looper? Connect an expression pedal (e.g. Dunlop DVP3) or tap switch (MXR Tap Tempo Switch) for hands-free control over loop speed. You can shift tempos dynamically, from 1/2 speed to 2x speed*, just by rolling your foot or tapping in playback speed. You can even reverse loops for some pretty dramatic effects.
Note: 1/2 speed increases record time to 12 minutes. 2x speed decreases record time to 3 minutes.
Play Once mode
Got a cool one-shot that appears several times in your set? Set the Clone Looper to Play Once mode to activate sounds or re-trigger them with DJ-style stutter effects
Simple controls
